Shades of Blue Round Table: Are Espada and Tufo Gone For Good?

at .  Updated at .

Harlee made a partial confession to her team to save them, but is this crew broken beyond repair?

Below TV Fanatics Jasmine Blu, Stacy Glanzman, and Christine Orlando are here to discuss Tufo and Espada ditching the team, the attempt on Julia’s life and who is the biggest threat to the crew after Shades of Blue season 2 episode 7

Are Tufo and Espada gone from the team for good?

Jasmine: I can't believe that. They both probably need a break, but I can't believe that both of them will be gone for good. Although, I could see one of them straying (Espada) and the others having to deal with it.

Stacy: I doubt it. Realistically, transfers can take awhile, so Espada might not even be going anywhere anytime soon. Tufo's leave is more immediate, but I don't see either of them being away too long. Something (or someone) will bring them back into the fold.

Christine: I hope not. I like them both, but especially Tufo. He’s been Woz’s loyal soldier, and this break was difficult to watch. I’m hoping that with a little time, they will both come back to the fold because this team is stronger when they’re together.

Julia Visits Harlee - Shades of Blue Season 2 Episode 7

Is Bianchi now trying to kill Julia?

Jasmine: I think he was grandstanding more than anything else. I don't believe he was trying to actually kill her. Wouldn't she be more valuable alive?

Stacy: I agree. Killing her doesn't really make sense. I think he was trying to send a message after Woz sent his. These guys always need to one-up each other.

Christine: Yeah, killing Julia is short sighted. Imagine the power of having the mayor of NYC in his back pocket? I think this was more of a show of strength to keep both Julia and Woz in line.

Linda Comes Home - Shades of Blue Season 2 Episode 7

Will Bianchi still go after Linda?

Jasmine: Yes, I think he will. It's the best way to get to Woz. It already had Woz seeing red and Linda back at home because it's where she feels safe.

No way they slip in that she's been carrying a gun around if she's not going to end up using it.

Stacy: Yeah, I think she needs to keep watching her back. She's Woz's biggest weakness, and the best way to get to him.

Christine: Not only is she still a target, but I agree with Jasmine. That gun she’s carrying will most likely be used before Shades of Blue season 2 is over.

Who is most dangerous to the team: Bianchi, Verco, or Stahl?

Jasmine: I think the most dangerous will have to be Bianchi. He's posing an immediate threat right now. Bodies pile up when Bianchi is involved.

Stacy: I agree with Jasmine that Bianchi is the biggest immediate threat, but I think long term it's probably Stahl. I think they will find a way to deal with Bianchi sooner rather than later, but Stahl is not going anywhere anytime soon. He's a bigger problem.

Christine: Bianchi is more of a straight-on physical threat, where Stahl is far more complicated. He won’t kill them, but he’ll wreck their lives and use anything he needs to get what he wants.

Part of me wishes Woz and Harlee would turn over Julia to get out from under Stahl because I’m not convinced how much longer she’s going to have their backs in all of this.

Woz And His Ax - Shades of Blue Season 2 Episode 7

What was your favorite quote or scene from Shades of Blue Season 2 Episode 7?

Jasmine: I loved when Woz and Rossi were in the interrogation room, and Woz gave Rossi a history lesson, if you will, on angels.

Stacy: I liked Woz, Tess, and Harlee going gung-ho just the three of them, and appreciated that Tess was so forgiving despite the friction between her and Harlee lately. I liked that she was able to relate to Harlee and could admit that she might have done the same thing.

Christine: I loved all of the above, but Woz and Rossi’s conversation was fascinating, and I couldn’t get enough of this Shades of Blue quote

Wozniak: When an angel first visits a human, you know what they say? “Be not afraid.” Why do you think they say that?
Rossi: Because when people are scared they scream and nobody likes screaming.
Wozniak: Must be an occupational hazard for you.
Rossi: It means I didn't do my job effectively.
Wozniak: Reason why angels say, be not afraid, is because they're terrifying. They're not the cute little things you see on greeting cards.
Rossi: Come on. Don't ruin Hallmark.
Wozniak: They're powerful creatures who dole out judgement and enforce the will of God.

Shades of Blue Season 2 Episode 7 Quotes

Wozniak: I don't know if I love you or if I hate you for what you just did.
Harlee: You and me both.
Wozniak: It was a hell of a gesture, but it doesn't absolve either of us.
Harlee: It wasn't about absolution. It was just about acknowledging what I did. They deserve to know the truth.
Wozniak: But it's not the whole truth. The FBI turned you before the heist.
Harlee: The whole truth would have broken us apart and I won't let that happen.

What binds us together is stronger than blood.
