Elaine Benes may be one of Jerry's ex-girlfriends, but she manages to stick with the gang and just be one of the boys on Seinfeld. Elaine is intelligent and frequently has impressive jobs throughout the series. Elaine definitely struggles finding Mr. Right and has an on-and-off again relationship with David Puddy from season six and on.
Mr. Benes: Are you working?
Elaine: Yeah, I'm reading manuscripts for Pendant Publishing. I told you ten times.
Mr. Benes: Pendant, those bastards!
Elaine: (referring to Dr. Reston) He's like a Svenjolly.
Elaine: What did I say?
Elaine: Svenjolly? I did not say Svenjolly.
George: Svenjolly. (licking some peanut butter off his finger)
Elaine: I don't see how I could've said Svenjolly.
Jerry: Well, maybe he's got, like, a cheerful mental hold on you.
