He's a a police detective with a troubled past, one that possesses has a keen eye for detail. He also likes to solve crimes in an unorthodox manner, which pits him against his no-nonsense boss.
Jane rose to semi-fame by being a psychic, though he now admits that he faked those abilities.

people say i look like simon (patrick jane), so that is amazing to know :D
