I loved this episode because it was wonderful to see Ducky in a new light. The writer is obviously working people back into the way things were rather than just starting the new season as if nothing happened.
Perhaps I'm wrong but I think Ducky was almost reluctant to go back to autopsy after dealing with living people and their response to him. The hug from the daughter was much needed by him. Perhaps now with his mom gone and having experienced nearly dying there will be a lovely, NORMAL, lady in the works for Ducky.
Needless to say I love all the characters on this program and look forward to Tuesday night tv.
