Member Since: 7/24/2011I think the world would be a better place if Friday Night Lights and The Cosby Show had never gone off the air. I used to want to be Punky Brewster. I wish they'd stop remaking classic 80s movies with 'tweens. Large groups of tourists horrify me - which is a problem living in NYC. If you make me laugh, I'll like you instantly. My family accepts my love of swearing and all things sarcasm, but they love me anyway. Guacamole and chubby babies make me happy. My DVR looks like it was programmed by a 13-year-old girl. Sweaty rock clubs - or any place that plays music too loudly - are my favorite spots. I believe people should do what makes them smile, collect as many fascinating friends as possible, and indulge in dessert and shoe shopping often. I can be found on Twitter, @upswinggirl.

Criminal Minds Review: An Unhappy Birthday (5/10/2012)
So glad everyone's engaging in a strong discussion. One thing though - just because you don't agree with my take, does that necessarily mean it's a bad review? Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, and I welcome them and love that you take the time out to comment. But because this episode didn't do it for me doesn't mean I'm less introspective or sophisticated in grasping the profiling analysis they were aiming for. It just means that I prefer that, if they're going to do an episode like this, it come early on in the season, and not in the home stretch. Especially coming off of some stronger eps recently, it was all the more glaring. Sure, it's fascinating to hear about how the criminals that they profile try to assert control over the agents. But they could've fit something else into this ep along with the flashbacks/commentary. And the only thing better than their awesomely 90s hairstyles this time around (Reid's mullet anyone? Prentiss' feathered locks?) was the lingering and yes, highly creepy Happy Birthday tune to end the show. That one sent chills up my spine for sure.

Criminal Minds Review: The Devil In The Details (4/6/2012)
TO ALL THOSE CONCERNED WITH MISSING THE PREVIOUS EPISODE'S REVIEW: My apologies, TV Fanatic faithful. I was unable to cover that episode, and when I realized that there would be a conflict that Wednesday I informed my editors at TV Fanatic. They procured another writer to step in that week, and for reasons beyond their control, circumstances made that writer unable to cover it too, sadly. There is no bias, no method to which episodes (or characters) I choose to focus on, and TV Fanatic is definitely not orchestrating something deliberate here. Sometimes, as I'm sure you can all relate to, life just changes plans on you, and we're forced to roll with it. I appreciate that you were all looking for the review, however, it's a sign of your loyalty - both to this site, and to a show that you love. Just wanted to set the record straight, thanks.

Criminal Minds Review: Hot For Teacher (3/15/2012)
@Kay I totally agree, why did it take so long for them to figure out that the child might be the UnSubs? And @farsia2010, well said. Morgan's cold shoulder to Kevin was unnecessary and strange. Garcia is important to him, Kevin is important to Garcia, therefore by transitive law of...whatever...he should've been kinder and offered advice. Weird all around.
