Definitely intentional. Writers trying to show that Brittany really is "that dumb". Kind of offensive from the perspective that as you note, they are the only two black "main" characters, but I confess that I laughed out loud when I heard the line...

Did no one catch this mistake? Or was it just supposed to be that Brittany is just dumb enough to confuse the only two black characters on the show? Or are the directors and producers that dumb?
