Dr. Garner survived the convenience store explosion and is wheeled into S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters on a gurney.

Andrew recounts his confrontation with new exchange student Alex (aka Werner von Strucker) and Hydra. He tells May that Coulson had an agent tailing him who quickly took action and saved his life.

Hunter is benched for his recklessness, leading to Agent May's official return to S.H.I.E.L.D. Yes, she's out for blood and has her sights set on Ward. May confronts Bobbi, blaming her for Hunter's actions and a fight breaks out. Turns out, May was simply testing Bobbi. Mockingbird is mission ready.

Agent May informs Bobbi that Andrew's "student" was von Strucker's son, "We find the Strucker kid, he'll lead us back to Ward." The pair follow a lead to the Cayman Islands.

Meanwhile, Ward is upset and blames Kebo for Hunter getting so damn close. The von Strucker kid is now a loose end and must be taken out. Werner turns to high-ranking Hydra operative Gideon Malick, a friend of his late father. The man promises to "handle everything."

Back at S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ, Daisy shares a theory about Lash with Director Coulson. "I think he's in the ATCU" she tells him. "That's a scary thought" he replies and asks her to keep any details off Rosalind's radar.

Not long after, Coulson and Rosalind are headed to the ATCU facility when her apartment is robbed. Coulson scopes out the place and comes to the conclusion the break in was staged to keep him from seeing the facility. Rosalind seems offended, so she takes him straight to the ATCU facility.

Feeling restless, Hunter offers to help Fitz and the two end up chit-chatting about Will. "He's the competition" Hunter says planting a seed of doubt. "This guy kept Simmons alive. I owe him" Fitz replies as Hunter walks away.    

Daisy and Mack prepare to tail Rosalind's right hand man, Banks, when Hunter volunteers to drive. Rather than being stealthy, Hunter leaves the truck and knocks Banks out. They send Simmons a blood sample and learn the man's not Inhuman. Using Banks' phone, the trio gets an address for the facility.

At a bank in the Cayman Islands, May and Bobbi break into von Strucker's safety deposit box. The box held several passports with fake identities, they use one to track him to an address in Lisbon, Portugal.

Ward gets a call from Gideon, "You've made some mistakes in your gameplay." Understanding Ward burned his asset, he gives up von Strucker's location. "You just remember, when I come calling that I chose a side" Gideon tells the new Hydra leader.

At the ATCU facility, Daisy uses one of Fitz's dwarf drones to gather intel. They watch workers unload an Inhuman boxed in stasis. Nearby, Coulson stands with Rosalind which naturally upsets Daisy. Though the group in the truck can't hear the conversation, Rosalind assures Coulson the ATCU is working on a cure. He soon realizes Rosalind lost someone and apologizes to her. She tells him she would have given anything to put her sick husband to sleep until someone found a cure.

Fitz and Simmons discuss his portal simulations. He shares the fact he hasn't had any luck, but he's not giving up. When she leaves the room, Fitz goes back to researching news articles about Will.

May and Bobbi arrive at von Strucker's place as Kebo is torturing the kid. The duo take on Hydra, and Bobbi eventually electrocutes Kebo. Unfortunately von Strucker is fatally wounded, but before he dies May learns the truth about Andrew. That's right, May's ex-husband is Lash, the Inhuman killing Inhumans.

Daisy contacts Lincoln who is in hiding, and the two share a touching moment.

Andrew was eavesdropping, and inquires on Lincoln's whereabouts. Luckily Daisy isn't aware of Lincoln's location, though she promises to keep Andrew informed.
