The aftermath of an Inhuman metamorphosis leaves a small apartment in ruins.

In the street below, a man flees from the scene begging for assistance. Several soldiers surround the "alien threat" and demand he put his hands on the nearest car hood. In seconds all metal, including weapons in the area, begin to slowly liquify.

The Inhuman makes a run for it and ducks into an alleyway. Suddenly, a sonic blast throws the military men chasing him to the ground. Daisy introduces herself and lets Joey know that S.H.I.E.L.D. is there for his protection.

A containment pod falls from the sky and as soon as Joey steps inside it takes off. The pod docks gently inside Coulson's brand new aircraft.

From the crowd, Coulson snaps a photo of a mysterious woman reprimanding a soldier. Is she Hydra or something else?

Joey questions Daisy about S.H.I.E.L.D., not understanding what is happening to him. "We try to protect people like you from the world, or from yourself" Daisy explains. She informs him that his DNA has changed and talks of the Inhumans.

Director Coulson mentions that this is the first Inhuman they've been able to secure. Five individuals have vanished and Coulson promises to find out what this woman is up to. At an undisclosed lab, she stares at several corpses with their chests ripped open.

The team learns that the woman is not, in fact, Hydra, but has ties to the CIA, MI6 and other government organizations.

Bobbi informs Coulson that there have been no readings from the monolith since Simmons was swallowed up by it. Fitz has gone missing again in an attempt to track down one last lead. His search for Jemma has lead him to Morocco.

There, Fitz meets with a questionable character, and offers to exchange a suitcase of splinter bombs for a piece of parchment. Though the case is a dud, Fitz manages to escape with the parchment and his last shot at finding Simmons.

Since Joey became a bit restless, Daisy recommends reaching out to Lincoln.

Coulson and Hunter tail the mystery woman, but to their surprise she's surrounded by undercover operatives. She introduces herself as Rosalind and explains that, "These altered humans are a threat and I'm in charge of neutralizing that threat." Neither group is responsible for killing Inhumans though. Coulson and Hunter escape via a containment pod.

At the hospital where Lincoln is working as a doctor, a monstrous Inhuman attacks. This creature, Lash, is responsible for the trail of bodies left behind. Daisy and Lincoln work together to take Lash down, but he manages to escape. Lincoln's power is exposed in the process and now Rosalind has her eye on him.

During a press conference, the President of the United States directly quotes something Rosalind said. At that moment, Coulson realizes just how far her reach goes. The computer monitor beeps, warning Coulson that in 17 months the Terrigen dispersal will be at 100%. That's a lot of Inhumans.

Joey agrees to keep his secret and work with S.H.I.E.L.D. to understand his power.

Frustrated when he reads "death" on the parchment, Fitz enters the monolith's chamber.

Somewhere at the other end of time and space, Jemma is seen running for her life.
