A future crime has deadly consequences when a "smart home" turns on its occupants. When Kennex and Dorian investigate, they learn that the house was also the site of a teenage boy's death a year prior.

Believing the boy to have been a hacker, Kennex and Stahl go undercover to find CrispinX, whom they believe to be responsible for the couple's death. He helps them find the real perpetrator.

Dorian has memory flashes which unsettle Rudy.
