Britten takes the law into his own hands when he begins putting together what happened that drove his family off the road.

He gets Bird on the Red side to steal files off of Hawkins' computer and is able to decrypt them and find out that the police are selling drugs recovered from crimes. Britten gets to Red Bird's house to relay all of this information but finds him murder by Hawkins. Hawkins shoots Britten as he's escaping and Britten collapses behind a dumpster losing blood and wakes up back in Green.

Britten relays all the information about Hawkins to Green Bird and they go to Harper. She allows Bird to go investigate, but puts Britten in a holding cell.
