Hank's wakes up in the hospital as the Californication Season 6 premiere opens having recovered from Carrie's attempt to kill him. Hank visits Carrie whose prognosis is not good and is accosted by a friend of hers who makes him feel responsible for her suicide attempt. Hank goes on a month long bender. Charlie takes Hank to meet rocker Atticus Finch who wants to turn A Crazy Thing Called Love into a Broadway musical. Becca tells Hank about her plans to drop out of college to become a writer. Karen, Marcy, Charlie and Becca stage an intervention to get Hank to attend rehab for his drinking and self destructive behavior.
