Tara, a paramedic candidate tags along with Dawson and Shay, but as Tara follows along it quickly becomes clear to Dawson and Shay that Tara handle the volume of calls their city station gets. Tara is cut from the program, but not before accusing Severide of trying to rape her.

Mills grows closer to rescue, and faces some heat from the truck squad because of it. Mills is also forced to cut his time short with Dawson, which sends her back in Casey's vicinity.

Just as Dawson and Casey are beginning to grow closer, Casey's ex-fiance Hallie shows up again.
