Deb realized she might actually have feelings for Dexer this week - yes, those kinds of feelings - Louis packaged up the Ice Truck Killer's hand and sent it anonymously to Dexter, after shadily telling him he wants to get more involved.
Elsewhere, Travis almost killed both Batista and Dexter, leaving the latter to die in an explosion at the end of the episode. But Dexter survived. He also thwarted the attempt to gas Miami Metro earlier in the hour.
Finally, LaGuerta got Matthews fired due to his dalliance with the call girl and, as the future new Deputy Chief, threatened Deb to do whatever she says.
