War arrived this week on Game of Thrones, as Stannis and his men attacked King's Landing. While hundreds perished in Tyrion's genius fire water scheme, the rest ended up on land.
And an incredible battle ensued.
Joffrey was beckoned inside by his mother and, like a coward, obeyed, leaving Tyrion to lead the men into hand-to-hand, sword-to-sword combat. And he did just that, nobly. But we were left with Tyron cut down, bleeding from his head and seemingly near death when the episode ended.
We were also left with Tywin riding in to the rescue. He helped King's Landing stave off Stannis and win the war, just as Cersei was set to poison her son in order to spare him a worse death.
