Meredith tells Cristina that she’s pregnant. But despite this happy news, something bad is going to happen
Sure enough, the disturbed Mr. Clark comes into the hospital and shoots Reed in cold blood.
Then he shoots Karev!
Alex crawls away towards the elevator, leaving a trail of blood.
Meredith tells Derek she has some news for him. She also promises "lots of dirty sex." He is buried in paperwork and doesn't get it.
Cristina confronts Owen - does he love her or Teddy? He hesitates. She’s done.
Gulp. Cristina gets in the elevator with the shooter. She gives him directions to Derek’s office, not knowing she’s aidind a psycho.
The first body is discovered and April has a complete freak out. Derek locks down the hospital. Meredith goes to see Cristina.
They talk about Meredith being in a new, family woman. Then Cristina tells Meredith her news - she’s broken up with Owen.
Elsewhere, the shooter opens fire in a crowded part of the hospital.Karev’s body is discovered in the elevator. Mark and Lexie try to save him.
Cristina and Meredith continue to talk about their love lives, unaware of the chaos that’s broken out elsewhere.
As Bailey works with her patient, played by guest star Mandy Moore, the shooter comes in. He shoots Percy when he says he's a surgeon. Then he asks Bailey if she's a surgeon too. She says she’s a nurse and he leaves.
Callie and Arizona talk about their love lives, still unaware of the chaos. Bailey works to save Percy.
Meredith and Cristina are hiding in a closet and see the shooter. Cristina realizes he’s going after Derek.
Derek runs into the shooter in the hallway. He recognizes him as Mr. Clark, the disgruntled man whose wife was a patient the doctors “unplugged.”
Clark says Derek hurt him when he let his wife die. He starts to talk the guy down, but another doctor interrupts and Clark shoots Derek.
The SWAT team moves in — and Meredith moves out of the closet to help her man.
Meanwhile, Richard waits outside the hospital, helpless. The whole place has been locked down.

Just seen this episode here in Holland (Europe) much later than you guys, october 2010.
But here's another thought; For a TV series plot this is of course exciting(when reading @ Diana her comment may 18th)drama writing, BUT!? U.S. Civilians demanding their own form of justice or revenge when behind a freely available deadly weapon in the U.S., is to me the most horrendous
and idiotic right in U.S. its Constitution. An idiot gunning down at least 5 people in a hospital, WOW! spectacular!! But in fact it is truly very sad when remembering all those shootings at high schools 'REALTIME' the last couple years. I would sincerely like to know how the thousands families who lost their loved ones this way are coping today. As long as the NRA is in power in your country, the USA is in great danger of becoming a banana-republic. I am disappointed the fact that your latest president is doing nothing against arms control and that daemon NRA. Hey, Europe is not safe either, I know that. But at le

Derek, meredith, and christina do not die and mer is pregant :). Reed is the one shot in the head and is dead, rumor has it they save alex..... possible surgical test for mer and chris in 2nd half that is the episode overview....... i think thaat owen or webber are also shot....... callie or arizon will probably get hurt cayse them and lexi and sloan won't get back together in the same episode too much happiness.........

I saw on youtube that the killer is the guy who was blaming Derek for the death of his wife, i see him shoot Reed in the head, and Alex under his right side. oh and Mer is the one carrying the baby.

OMG! That man is insane! The shooter is the guy who sewed derek! OMG if derek dies i'm gonna cry! Epsecially since Meredith is pregnant! Ekkk! Ahhh! Im gonna DIE!

If Derek dies I don't think I will be able to watch Grey's anatomy. And I would seriously cry!!!!!!!!!!!!
