Major Crimes Season 4 Episode 12 pits Hobbs and the detective team against Sharon's shady ex-husband. It's bad enough for them that Jack Raydor is defending an accused murderer they want to put away, but he suddenly gives them a video that seems to prove his client's innocence! When Judge Grove gives the team 24 hours to disprove the video's authenticity, they must race against time to find out what happened.

The case itself seemed open and shut before this video emerged, and the detectives are eager to close it. Their investigation leads them to some of the victim's family members, and they discover there was a lot more going on than met the eye. Was it the victim's sister or her mother who killed her, and were they conspiring with her husband to get rid of her?

While the detectives are pondering these questions, Rusty tries to get an interview with Silder, the guy accused of killing Alice/Mariana. Flynn is skeptical that this is a worthwhile project, but after a health crisis forces him to stay with Sharon, he is able to give Rusty some worthwhile advice.
