AFter "Shiva" no new eps until Feb 5th, #223 "Hit and Run" the Abby-centric story, then #224 "Hereafter" Feb 12th. They started filming #225 (Don't know title) today. Heard the ep with Tim's dad has been pushed back. BTW, I work in DC, and I am not aware of any stone railing like that around the Tidal Basin, though I haven't explored the area in year's and could be wrong. THey did get the perspective of the Jefferson Memorial and the Washington Monument correct. Also, no snow for us yet...

THIS SHOW JUST KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER. SO MUCH GRIEF IN THIS EPISODE, OVERWHLEMING TO SAY THE LEAST. I AM SO GLAD I HAVE BEEN DVRing THE SEASON. GOING TO WATCH THIS ONE AGAIN TONIGHT TO GET ALL MY FACTS STRAIGHT! SO MUCH EMPHASIS ON ZIVA AND NOT DIRECTOR VANCE, PROBABLY MORE ABOUT VANCE IN THE "TO BE CONTINUED" EPISODE.

Totally awesome episode !!! I watched it over and over in disbelief. This is why I LOVE this show..I hated that Jackie died though.

I want to know where Ziva was while everyone else was at the ED. Why wasn't someone (read Tony)with her? Two hours had passed since the shooting and the ED scene. Abby and Ducky arrived breathlessly as if they had just heard the news? Where did Eli's body go? I got the impression from the previews for "Shiva" that he is at NCIS.

I think Jackie is definately dead. The kids are in "Shiva", she is not and a minister is in the cast. I don't think they would have the kids go through their mother's funeral if she was not really dead. Vance has been on the bubble all season, blaming himself for the bombing;something else had to send him over the edge OR make him realize that sometimes there is nothing you can do. RC just resigned a 2-year contract (last Spring), so I doubt that he will be replaced, except temporarily by the Greg Germann.

Exciting episode to say the least. I tell my wife all the time I could write this stuff, so I will share my insight. Not sure what they are going to do with Vance, an adminsitrative leave is certainly possible, but if you noticed they never showed his wife after the shooting. Not on the floor, the ambulance was leaving as Tony and McGee arrived at the home, and not in the Emergency room at the hospital. I beleive there is something going on with that plot and I do not believe she is dead. It is highly possible that Vance is pretending that she is dead in order to protect her when and if he should avenge his friends death. Much like Jenny Sheppard. There is something definitely brewing behind the scenes and certainly makes for an interesting 2nd half of the season and most probably a sub-plot for season 11. By far the best show on TV.

@Justified808 The role for Deputy Director has already been cast. Greg Germann is set to play that role in next week's episode.

I realise that i have not seen the new episode "Shabbat Shalom" yet (I live in australia and we are like 6-7 episodes behind) but ive seen wat happened to eli, and i know wat happened to jackie, but what i want to know is why this promo focused only on ziva, i mean, yes she lost her father, but he lost his wife

In the real world, Leon would be hung out to dry, so to speak. But it will be much more interesting to see him struggle as a single dad and learn to cope as a widower than to get rid of him and install someone else as director so I will be surprised if Rocky Carroll is written out of the show (unless there is news out there that I haven't heard!) I expect to see more one on one time with Gibbs and Vance as Gibbs tries to help Vance through the pain, anger and grief associated with the murder of Jackie. As for SecNav being out of the loop, Jarvis will be glad because it gives him deniability, which that little worm will love! (Sorry, can't stand him!) and the Iranian intelligence guy will be "removed" if he hasn't already - probably at the same time Eli was! Peace, after all, does not make money for anyone. Cynical, I know, but unfortunately that is the way the world works.

Wow...wondering if Vance will be placed on administrative leave, ostensibly to deal with the death of his wife and to give SecNav time to deal with being left out of the loop and to determine what to do with Vance on along term basis. Vance can't be party to the investigation into his wife's death either so admin leave makes sense at this juncture. Plus it would give the show time to insert an acting Deputy Director for viewers to assess as Vance's probable replacement. Anyone got any ideas who they should cast if they opt for that route.
