The man committing the crime on video was not actually who he appeared to be. It was a man with a mask of a guy with access to top secret files.

Looking to clear his name in an incident abroad, the man was going to swap his file with another. Then his friend died, and he did it himself.

The new team members arrive and cause tension. McGee is so jealous when Simon Cade goes out on a date with Abby.

Gibbs and DiNozzo clash, sort of, over his relationship with Barrett.

Barrett's hunch is proven correct that the eyeball found at the end of last episode belongs to someone who works for NCIS (or did at some point).
