Recap

In tonight's episode, Leslie and Ben announce their engagement to all of their friends and throw an engagement party.  Ben feels apprehensive about introducing Leslie to his parents because his they are divorced and cannot be civil to each other.  Leslie believes she can ensure their civility by presenting them all with a unity quilt meant to unite their family.

At the party, Ann makes a toast that puts Chris over the emotional edge and Ann, April, and Andy work together to make sure Chris doesn't do anything to ruin the party.  By mentioning happy and sad things, Chris events out and feels better by the end of the party.

Meanwhile, Tom is working on his Rent A Swag pitch for a potential investor: Ron Swanson.  When he realizes that his business partner, John Ralphio, is never going to get serious, he breaks off the partnership.  Ron ends up investing in Tom's business because he knows how serious Tom is about it.

At the party, it's quite clear that Mr. and Mrs. Wyatt are not going to get along.  When Mr. Wyatt brings his girlfriend to the party, Mrs. Wyatt and her are rude to each other and even Leslie's unity quilt, which has proven to bring people together in the past, backfires in this situation.  In the end, Leslie and Ben are firm with his parents and all of them agree to be civil to one another.
