Sheriff Corbin's son, Joe, returns to Sleepy Hollow and a series of maulings begin to take place.

Abbie attempts to get Ichabod to relax doing some Yoga. He's not enjoying himself and soon mentions how disappointed he is in Katrina. So many lies makes it very difficult for him to believe in her.

Instead of Yoga, Ichabod takes Abbie to the local bar to unwind. They toast to General Washington. There's a bit of a scuffle and Joe Corbin is involved. The old Sheriff's son recently returned to Sleepy Hollow when platoon was mysteriously killed. Joe was the only survivor and was discharged.

When a wild animal attacks two men in the woods, Ichabod makes the connection to Joe's platoon. According to Ichabod, Daniel Boone's brother was a beast who attacked Daniel. Yes that famous raccoon hat was meant to cover a horrendous scar.

Through the Shawnee, Daniel learned the tales of the wendigo. A half human-half beast that fed off human organs.

Joe was at Pioneer Point to dig something up Sheriff Cobin had left him. When confronted, Joe runs from Abbie and Ichabod. However, Ichabod cuts himself and that's what triggers the wendigo transformation.

Abbie manages to bring the creature down using tranquilizers.

Supernatural expert Nick Hawley is brought in to brainstorm the case. He confesses his cures always consisted of killing the creature. Luckily, Nick's Shawnee tribe friends know the details of a cure.

Jenny feeds the wendigo human organs and he returns to human form. Joe informs every one about a powder he received in the mail. it had Henry's return address. So the Horseman of War is behind this "supernatural anthax."

Henry was after that potion Sheriff Cobin left buried at Pioneer Point. It doesn't take long for Henry and his Hessians to locate them. Joe decides to hand over the poison to avoid bloodshed. Unfortunately, rather than cure Joe, Henry cuts him triggering the wendigo transformation.

Determined to save Joe, Abbie traps the creature in an alley while Ichabod recites the Shawnee incantation.

The wendigo eventually returns to human form. Joe has been saved and asks Abbie for a recommendation. He plans to follow in his father's footsteps.

Elsewhere, Henry uses the poison to conjure up a tiny spider. The arachnid is seen entering Katrina's mouth.
