Despite their icy relationship, Neal and Peter must attend an FBI conference where it appears that someone has breached security and the pair investigates. Their pursuits leads them to discover that the intruder doesn’t want the high-tech gear debuting at the panel, but the mind of one of the men who made it.
Neal continues to pursue Sam, who comes to him wanting to ferret out whoever is after him, using Neal and Mozzie to do so with their knowledge.
Meanwhile, Peter discovers that Sam isn’t who he says he is, and while Neal’s reception of the news is one of skepticism, that doesn’t keep him from presenting Peter with a sample of blood for DNA testing to get his questions answered once and for all, with truly shocking results.
