Alfre Woodard is a very talented actress from Oklahoma! She attended Boston University, where she studied drama.
You might recognize her for her recurring roles on Tucker's Witch, Sara, St. Elsewhere, My Own Worst Enemy, and Three Rivers. She has also made appearances on Hill Street Blues, Frasier, Homicide: Life on the Street, The Pracdtice, and True Blood. She is currently a main character on TNT's Memphis Beat.
You might also know Alfre Woodard from the films Star Trek: First Contact, Follow Me Home, Miss Ever's Boys, Love & Basketball, K-PAX, The Core, Beauty Shop, and Black Panther.
In addition, Alfre has done boice overs for The Brave Little Toaster to the Rescue, The Wild Thronberrys Movie, and Dinosaur.
She has won over 20 awards from her acting performances, including Emmys, Grammys, and Golden Globes!
