The worst thing about the cancellation of Lone Star, aside from a promising show being axed too quickly, was that it left Adrianne Palicki out of a job, and us without a chance to see her every week. Well, Criminal Minds has remedied that, at least for one week.

The former Friday Night Lights beauty has signed on for an episode of the CBS procedural that pays homage to Oliver Stone's seminal criminal satire Natural Born Killers.

Adrianne Palicki will make for a killer episode.

Palicki will play Syd, a tough, irreverent and sexually manipulative lunatic who sets out on a cross country killing spree with her sociopath husband Ray, Deadline reports.

Syd and Ray were both victims of childhood abuse, not unlike the protagonist's of Stone's iconic flick. Sounds like it's got great potential. Look for AP on CM in early 2011.
