On The Goldbergs Season 2 Episode 9, all you need to know is that Barry buys a butt mug.
The Goldbergs gave us all an early Christmas gift; Barry and Beverly "modeling" together. It's a gift we all weren't sure we wanted, but when we got it we knew it was special.
Barry you truly proved tonight that you are a moron; please don't change. I give Barry credit for believing in himself so much he thinks he is capable of anything, but the poor guy is so gullible.
They really should start listening to Erica more; she has learned from her mistakes and really does try to help her family out by steering them in the right direction. Erica has really grown into a more mature woman this season; though I imagine we will still see her mess up!
Beverly's never-ending checks that are payable to cash come as no surprise – why were the kids surprised by how quickly their mom is on top of things? I imagine there is a true story behind Beverly always having checks that are already written.
Poor Murray! I just wanted to give him a hug during that awkward crying scene. It's interesting to see the dynamic between Murray and his father; they are so alike, both stubborn and hard headed, but they are extremely different when it comes to family. Case in point: Murray talking with Adam and trying to figure out what is wrong even though he really didn't want to. He still put fourth the effort; Murray really is the hero of this show.
While Murray may be the hero, Beverly is the cheerleader and shark for her family. Seeing her go after the photographer and threatening him was perfect retaliation. Beverly, while she may be a true smother, will go to great lengths to protect her family and give them what they want. Granted I don't think they should have lied about Barry being a model because his head is already giant to begin with, but I understand why she did it.
It was actually a rather heartwarming episode of The Goldbergs tonight. We got some beautifully written moments between Adam and Murray which ignited my love of Murray even more. We also saw Beverly do what she does best; be there for her family. It definitely could have used some more Pops and Erica, but what we got was a nice mixture of comedy and real life situations.
