Scorpion Season 1 Episode 20 Review: Crossroads

at .

The number one person you should never, ever make angry is Happy Quinn.

In Scorpion Season 1 Episode 20, Toby screwed up big time. Things were just going too well for Quintis. Happy dressed to kill for her date with Toby, and he never showed up. Is anyone else surprised that Happy didn't throw something at him? Toby's attempt at groveling was sub par. He brought her a wrench bouquet and chocolates with nuts in them. Okay, yes points for cuteness, but does any of that sound like something Happy would like?

It is a little sad that Toby and Happy don't ever get their first date. Come on, we could have messed them up after date one, right? Is it too much to ask for the happiness to last a little bit longer? Hopefully, Happy comes around and maybe there is some more Quintis action before the season wraps up.

On the Run - Scorpion

The only good thing to come out of all of this was Toby opened up about his childhood. His mom was an alcoholic, and his dad would forget he existed. Toby doesn't know what to do with something good in his life.

This was a very honest conversation, and Toby doesn't open up all that much. He gets into other people's heads and exposing their secrets. Toby keeps his pain and past close to his chest, except for when it comes to Happy. He will do whatever it takes to get her back.

Toby urged everyone to take risks. He told Sylvester to man up and eat the expired yogurt, and then gave Walter very similar advice to go tell Paige how he feels. Alright, we all saw this coming. Walter went to Paige's house and creepily watched her and Ralph, and then Drew popped into the picture.

The showdown for Paige's heart is imminent, and it won't be pretty or entertaining. Is anyone else already done with this love triangle?

You couldn't even bring yourself to erase stick figures of you and Paige holding hands.

Toby

The case wasn't bad. It featured a lot of Team Scorpion having to come up with a quick fix for something while they are out in the field, which seems to be a lot of what they end up doing on cases. There wasn't really a bad guy to catch. Survival was the goal of the case, and they did do that. What did you think of the case?

Paige tagged along, as usual, which seemed pointless. Does she go on cases for moral support? One thing that she was helpful with, sort of, throughout the case, was keeping Maya company. Paige figured out that Maya was pregnant, but that's about all that she did. What do you think Paige's role should be on cases? Should she hang back on some or just always go along in case she comes in handy?

There was one instance where Paige put herself in danger instead of Maya because Maya was pregnant. Okay, it was a nice gesture, but Paige has a son. Sure, if something had happened to Paige when she went to grab the urinal cake and toilet paper, there wasn't a risk that should lose her baby, but she could have been seriously injured or died. Then, Ralph would be without a mom.

It doesn't seem like Ralph is on Paige's mind a lot when Paige is in a dangerous situation. He has to be. She is a single parent, and so if she is in a bad spot where death seems likely, it would not be out of place for her to voice a concern about Ralph. What are your views on Ralph? Should he have more of a presence in the show?

Sylvester: You know you're not our dad, right?
Cabe: Stop acting like kids, I'll stop acting like your dad.

What did you think of the episode? Leave me your thoughts in a comment below. Sylvester has already called out Cabe for acting like the Dad of the group, and now all I need is for someone to call him Dad. It would be perfection.

Scorpion Season 1 Episode 20 Quotes

I don't have any feelings and even I'm uncomfortable watching this.

Walter

Sylvester: There is zero chance she is going to accept your apology.
Toby: I'm not going to apologize. I'm going to grovel.
