Scorpion centers around a group of geniuses who comprise a company, also named Scorpion. There’s Happy Quinn the mechanical expert, Toby Curtis the behaviorist, Sylvester Dodd the statistics prodigy, and Walter O’Brien the leader and computer expert.

They've recently teamed up with Homeland Security. Agent Cabe Gallo works with them on cases, and he has a history with Walter. Agent Gallo and Walter worked together on a case that ended badly, to say the least. However, now they are working on putting that in the past and making a difference any way they can.

Paige Dineen joins Team Scorpion after they decide to work with Homeland Security. Paige has a son named Ralph who is gifted, and the geniuses help her to understand her son. In return, Paige manages the customer relations side of things, as well as making sure the geniuses take care of themselves and focus on getting the job done.

Team Scorpion helps Homeland Security on a variety of cases – some rely mostly on computer skills, while others are less obviously computer based, and there is some field work involved. The team may not be the best at fitting in or understanding the military protocol of Homeland Security, but they are working on it.
