The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 8 Review: The Unger Games
Stacy Glanzman at . Updated at .Were you surprised by Felix's athletic ability?
I don't think it was too shocking to find out he was in shape. It's always been obvious that Oscar isn't.
They deserved the injuries they sustained wrestling at the end of The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 8 for their childish behavior.
So who wins the decathlon, which really wasn't a decathlon since it was only five events, but I digress.
Personally, I give the edge to Felix even before the thrown ping pong game. Oscar cheated at arm wrestling, so that shouldn't have counted. I would have just made him wash his hands and then continued with the game.
It was a clever way to get the upper hand, I'll give Oscar that, but Felix clearly has the better upper body strength. Oscar has good hand/eye coordination though.
This whole thing basically started at the bar when Oscar accused Felix of being lucky in the softball game. It turns out that was actually true. If only Felix had just admitted this sooner:
Oscar: And you're welcome to play on my softball team any time, you're quite a bunter.
Felix: Since we're being honest, I did not know what bunting was, I was swinging as hard as I could.
It would have saved them a lot of time and grief, not to mention the neck and back injuries.
Geoff Stults returned, which was a little odd. They made it seem like he's around all the time, but he hasn't been seen or mentioned since The Odd Couple Season 1 Episode 2.
Roy has only made a few appearances as well, so really who can blame Murphy for not remembering his name? Even I've had to look it up to remind myself once or twice.
Can you imagine what a relationship between Emily and Murphy would look like? I don't think it's a good idea for two people with their level of intelligence to enter a relationship. It would be likely be a disaster waiting to happen. They're lucky they're both pretty.
After making two hundred dollars off of Murphy for her earrings, I wonder how much she was planning to charge for the bracelet. He would have been willing to pay a thousand dollars apparently. I guess we'll never know since Emily mailed the bracelet before receiving payment anyway.
Do you think Emily will ever admit her feelings to Felix? For a smart guy, he's completely oblivious. That and he's still got his mind set on winning back his ex-wife.
Do you guys want to see more of Geoff Stults in future episodes? If nothing else, he's good eye candy.
Don't forget you can watch The Odd Couple online any time if you missed any of the craziness.
