Kirstie Alley Joins Scream Queens Season 2 as Series Regular

at .

As if everything we know about Scream Queens Season 2 wasn't already terrific, there's even more news to share.

Did we think it was impossible to improve upon the already announced cast? Honestly, no.

And yet, here we are. Kirstie Alley is on board, we learned today. As a series regular!!

Alley Queen

Alley is a Golden Globe winner. She's an Emmy winner. She starred on Cheers, headlined NBC's Veronica's Closet, mocked herself in the hilarious and underrated Showtime series Fat Actress and recently took to TV Land for Kirstie.

Now? She'll be playing a brilliant and devious administrator along side Jamie Lee Curtis, Emma Roberts, Lea Michele, Abigail Breslin, Keke Palmer, Billie Lourd, Glen Powell and Niecy Nash who are set to reprise their Scream Queens Season 1 characters.

Others joining Scream Queen Season 2 as regulars are John Stamos, Taylor Lautner and James Earl.

That's not even all the amazing talent heading toward the hospital where Alley's character will be administrating, as Jerry O'Connell, Colton Haynes and Laura Bell Bundy are paying visits, as well.

We've seen Haynes sporting a hospital gown...will he make it out alive?

Because the one-time college campus is now a hospital owned by Dean Munch, and it seems some pretty scary things are going on in that place.

Some of the most bizarre and fascinating cases may be under observation, but we expect murder and mayhem (as well as a lot of observation on those hot docs and nurses...just sayin').

Alley is joining her good friend John Travolta, who also recently starred in his first Ryan Murphy production, when he took the role of Robert Shapiro in FX's mesmerizing The People vs OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.

Alley and Curtis share that friendship, as Travolta starred opposite Curtis in one of her most iconic roles as an aerobics instructor in the movie Perfect.

Whether these contacts had anything to do with any of these particular casting decisions? We have no idea. But they always say it's who you know, right?

At least we're getting news about Scream Queens.

Murphy also has another show debuting soon. On Wednesday, in fact. We know a sum total of nothing about the upcoming season of American Horror Story. The only thing we know for sure is we are certain to be doubly entertained this fall by both Scream Queens and AHS!!

If you want to recall the joy that was Scream Queens Season 1, you can watch Scream Queens online while you wait.

Otherwise, meet us here for a review of the premiere after it airs on Tuesday, September 20 at 8/7c.

Grace: You're an awful person.
Chanel: Maybe. But I'm rich and I'm pretty so it doesn't really matter.

Zayday: Hey, girl, can I just ask you... what's up with your outfit?
Gigi: My therapist says I had a traumatic experience that kept part of my psyche forever trapped in the 90's but I'm like, uh, I'll take it!
