Well, that was a gem of an episode.

On The Originals Season 4 Episode 7, Dominic showed his face in New Orleans once again, and all of the principal characters were forced into some awkward situations.

With Hope going to extremes to find out everything and anything she could about the family, she crossed paths with Marcel, and it was actually pretty intriguing.

Once upon a time, Marcel was the child that Klaus never had. Klaus took him in when he noticed just how badly he was being treated.

Say what you want about Klaus Mikaelson, but he's a man who puts family first. Whether he likes to admit it or not, Marcel is part of that family.

Yes, they absolutely want to tear one another apart at times, but not all families get on like a house on fire, and something tells me that Hope is going to be the one to bring them back together.

Hope is very mature for her age. She knows just how powerful she is, but her comment to Marcel about being stupid stole the show.

Deep down, she knew letting Marcel go was the right thing to do. No matter how mad her father was going to be, she felt a connection to Marcel because she had gone through all of his belongings he had in the house when he was a kid.

Even though Marcel was instrumental in keeping Hope safe throughout Dominic's little tirade of terror, it seemed like the main thing getting to Klaus was the PTSD from being locked up for all of those years.

In that respect, he was pissed at Marcel for being the one to keep him there. He spoke vividly to Hayley about it, so it definitely pained him.

Klaus is not the type of person to open up about his feelings in a hurry. Cami was the one he would pour his heart out to, but now, she's not around.

Bottling things up is not a healthy way to deal with them, and as much as Klaus would like everyone to think he's this deranged madman, he's really not.

Something tells me, no matter what goes down over the next few weeks, the fight against The Hollow will bring Marcel closer to the family.

Now, that's not to say things between him and Elijah are just going to be fine. They're not. Heck, I'm not even sure Elijah is alright.

Killing the witches was a ballsy move; one that could have wound up causing more heartache for the residents the French Quarter.

Vincent turning to Davina was a great little throwback for fans of the series who endured the bloodbath that occurred toward the end of The Originals Season 3. Davina was a polarizing character, but she got a horrible, horrible death.

If you watch The Originals online, you will remember that Freya was the one who orchestrated her demise. This episode definitely proved that Elijah and Freya had a lot in common, much to the chagrin of Vincent.

Yusuf Gatewood has really upped the ante with his performances on The Originals Season 4, but the character needs to sit down and hash out his differences with the Mikaelsons.

I completely understand that he has every right to be pissed with the family, but being at odds is not going to bode well for the plan to take down The Hollow.

Everyone needs to put on a united front to kick this villain in the butt and send it running from the streets of New Orleans. The Hollow was an interesting villain at first, but I'm just ready to move on from this plot already.

Now that we know there's a way to take it out of the equation by finding the bones, I'm betting that will occur in the next few episodes.

It can't be a coincidence that Freya realized what the family needed was in Mystic Falls. Guess she should be thankful for Bonnie Bennett's ancestors showing up to stop the Hellfire from destroying the city.

With Alaric making his way to the big easy, what will he be able to tell us about what's going on without favorite characters who survived The Vampire Diaries?

I need to know if Bonnie found love, or if she was still traveling the world with Enzo in her head.

I did find all of the Keelin and Freya drama to be rather heartwarming. Freya wanted to push Keelin away to keep her safe. Her whole statement about the werewolf getting in the way of her plans to save her family was just trash.

With Vincent and Josh hating on her, Freya was probably thinking to herself that it would only be a matter of time before Keelin found a reason to ditch her.

Thankfully, that was not the case, and we got to see them declaring their feelings for one another at the conclusion.
