Scream Queens may have been silenced by Fox, but Keke Palmer is not quite done screaming yet.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the talented actress has snagged a lead role on MTV's reboot of Scream in the role of Kym.
The report describes Kym as "a bold and beautiful social activist with a big heart and zero patience for suffering fools."
The character is said to be pro-active when she learns that a deranged serial killer is hunting her and her friends, and springs into action to help unmask their tormentor before it is too late.
Palmer spent two seasons on Scream Queens as Zayday her character survived all the way up until the show's cancellation in May.
RJ Cyler (I'm Dying Up Here), Giorgia Whigham (13 Reasons Why), Jessica Sula (Recovery Road, Skins) and Giullian Yao Gioiello (Julie's Greenroom) have also been added to the cast.
We previously reported that Tyga and C.J. Wallace had joined the series in key roles, but news on the reboot has been scarce ever since.
As a whole, the season averaged just 0.4 million viewers, and a 0.2 rating in the all-important adults 18-49 demographic.
If you watch Scream online, you will know that there was little in the way of resolution for the key players and the whole Brandon James storyline was far from over.
Will it even be addressed in the new iteration of the franchise, or will it be completely forgotten about?
There have been mixed responses from fans across the internet since the controversial move to take the show in an anthology direction.
A lot think if there was no conclusion for the original cast, why should they expect one for the newbies?
What do you think of the new additions?
