Suits First Look: See Katherine Heigl in Action!

Changes are on the horizon for USA Network's Suits.

Patrick J. Adams and Meghan Markle are both exiting the series at the close of Suits Season 7, which concludes Wednesday, April 25.

With Suits Season 8 officially a go, Katherine Heigl has been drafted in to fill the void, and the actress shared a first look for fans on her Instagram page.

“Day 2 on the set of Suits getting my hands wrapped for a kickboxing scene,” the talented actress captioned the above image.

“My character is no shrinking violet! She’ll kick your [ass] in the ring and in the courtroom! Love playing a girl with gumption!”

“Joining Suits was the perfect organic way to not only collaborate with an EP I admire deeply but to also become part of a show and cast that I am an immense fan of,” shared Katherine Heigl said back in January when she was cast on the legal drama.

“I have watched Suits from the very beginning and feel incredibly lucky to be the newest member of the Pearson Specter Litt family.”

Heigl will star opposite Gabriel Macht as Samantha Wheeler – a talented new partner at Pearson Specter Litt who challenges the status quo and will either become the firm’s greatest ally … or most powerful enemy.

If you watch Suits online, you will likely be looking forward to having a new name on the wall because "Specter Litt" does not have the same ring to it without the third name there.

Heigl and Macht, Sarah Rafferty, Rick Hoffman, Dule Hill and Amanda Schull are the official cast for Suits Season 8.

Will the show be able to craft a new identity in the aftermath of Mike and Rachel's final episode airing, or should the show have quit while it was ahead?
