Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown Final Season to Air This Fall on CNN

at .

Fans of Anthony Bourdain will be able to watch the 12th and final season of his TV series, Parts Unknown.

There were questions about whether the final season would ever see the light of day following Bourdain's passing.

According to a report in the L.A. Times CNN filmed enough episodes to bring one last season to audiences, and they will debut this fall on the network.

One episode of Parts Unknown was completed before Bourdain's death, and it focused on a trip to Kenya with W. Kamau Bell.

That episode will be the last one to feature Bourdain's narration, and the others will include audio that was captured on location and follow-up interviews with others who were along for the adventures.

One of the episodes will feature the cast and crew chatting about their fallen friend, and will be accompanied by footage from behind-the-scenes.

But the series finale will be a celebration of Anthony, featuring fan reactions to the show as well as special appearances from others who have appeared on previous episodes.

Bourdain was found in his hotel room in Eastern France by his friend, Eric Ripert. He was unresponsive.

“It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain,” CNN said in a statement, confirming the death.

“His love of great adventure, new friends, fine food and drink and the remarkable stories of the world made him a unique storyteller."

"His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much."

"Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly difficult time.”

While it's unclear when in the fall CNN plans to air the final season, but at least we know it's coming.
