It's been almost two months since an end date for The Big Bang Theory was set at CBS, and one of the stars is still finding it difficult to process the news.

Appearing on Monday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Kunal Nayyar dished that he has still not processed that the hit comedy series is ending.

Raj and the Dog - The Big Bang Theory Season 10 Episode 18

“I’m still trying to process all of it because it’s been such a big part of my life, obviously. It’s given me all the blessings in the world. Right now, I’m just showing up on time and focused on working.”

While he said saying goodbye to the series will be "bittersweet," Nayyar also said that the series finale will always be with him.

"The day we shoot [the series finale] is April 30 — not the day it airs the day we shoot it — [and that’s] actually my birthday,” he noted. “Life comes full circle.”

Kunal's comments to Ellen echo the ones he made in August when the show's ending was revealed.

"As you may already know… and for those of you who don’t. This will officially be Big Bang Theory’s last season," he shared, adding:

"After Season 12 we will be the longest running multi camera sitcom in the history of television. There are no words in any language that can describe what my heart wants to say… The love that I feel for all of you is boundless."

"Without you the fans there would be no us. Tonight I sleep with a prayer of gratitude on my lips. This isn’t goodbye… yet… still 23 eps to shoot!"

The announcement that the show was ending came as quite the surprise to viewers because it still packs a punch in the ratings.

The Big Bang Theory Season 12 is currently averaging 12.5 million total viewers and a 2.3 rating among adults 18-49.

While the demo tally is off 15 percent year-to-year, it still towers above the rest of the shows on CBS.

TBBT Quotes

Leonard: Hi. I'm Leonard. You are beautiful. You pop, sparkle and buzz electric. I'm going to pick you up at eight, show you a night you will never forget.
Raj: Where are we going?

Sheldon: Here's the problem with teleportation.
Leonard: Lay it on me.
Sheldon: Assuming a device could be invented, which would identify the quantum state of matter of an individual in one location and transmit that pattern to a distant location for reassembly. You would not have actually transported the individual, you would have destroyed him in one location and recreated him in another.
Leonard: How about that.
Sheldon: Personally, I would never use a transporter because the original Sheldon would have to be dissintegrated in order to create a new Sheldon.
Leonard: Would the new Sheldon be in any way an improvement on the old Sheldon?
Sheldon: No, he would be exactly the same.
Leonard: That is a problem
