The 4400 could be making a comeback!

USA Network's hit sci-fi drama series is getting the reboot treatment, and the potential series could air on The CW, according to Deadline.

"Over the course of recent history, 4,400 young adults in their reproductive prime have gone missing all over the world — some disappearances happened as recently as a few weeks ago, while others date as far back as the infamous day the Soviets launched the Sputnik satellite in 1957," reads the project's official logline.

"One day in 2019, all 4,400 show up at the sites of their original abductions. None of them have aged a day; none have any memory of where they’ve been."

Nostalgia Comedies and Reboots: Why TV Culture Is Looking Backwards

"The so called “4400” must grapple with their return to a changed and hostile world… and also contend with the reality that they’ve come back altered in ways that none of them yet understand."

The new iteration is being co-written by Taylor Elmore (Justified) and Craig Sweeny (Elementary). The duo previously worked on the one-and-done CBS procedural, Limitless.

While the term reboot is becoming used a little too much nowadays, the positive news here is that Sweeny worked on the original series as a writer and supervising producer.

The CW already has reboots of Charmed and Dynasty on its schedule, with Roswell, New Mexico set to join them in 2019.

The 4400 is one of two reboots in the works at the young-skewing network for the 2019-2020 TV season.

A reboot of The LA Complex, a failed Canadian soap that the network previously aired is also in development for next season.

It's becoming increasingly different to launch new properties in the peak TV era. There's so much choice from a variety of different destinations that it's difficult to cut through the clutter.

Okay, The 4400 Fanatics!

Should this series be left in the past, or should it be reimagined for a new audience?
