ABC is bringing a Christmas movie to primetime.
The network has placed an order for Same Time, Next Christmas, an original movie starring Lea Michele, per The Wrap.
The Glee veteran is on board as Olivia Henderson, a young woman who first met her childhood sweetheart during her family's annual holiday trip to Hawaii.
However, the two failed to make things work, with distance and time getting in the way.
But they come into contact, once again, at the same Hawaii resort several years later, and while there's still a connection, it seems they are poised to remain apart.
The project will be releasing around the same time as Michele's first Christmas album.
It's unclear whether any of her music will be featured in the movie which is directed by Stephen Herek (Hawaii Five-0), but having Lea Michele starring in a new movie and releasing a new album is a big deal.
“This holiday season holds special importance to me as I get to celebrate both my role in this film and my first-ever holiday album,” Michele said in a statement.
“I’m honored to return to ABC with this movie event, and I am excited to share the holidays with everyone.”
Michele previously appeared on the network in The Mayor, a political comedy series which failed to garner much traction in the ratings upon its launch 2017.
Despite the solid reviews, the ratings were too low for the show to continue, and the unaired episodes wound up on Hulu.
While best known for her role on Glee, Michele also reunited with Ryan Murphy on Scream Queens during its two-season run on Fox.
