The Birch Trailer: Facebook Watch Goes Dark!

at .

Facebook is bringing out the big guns this October.

We've already had the thrilling Season 2 debut of Sorry For Your Loss. We also have Limetown to look forward to later in the month.

Before we get to the latter, we have The Birch, a brand new horror series that is set to launch October 11.

If you haven't been watching any of Facebook Watch's content, then that should change, because they are quickly expanding their original series offerings.

"The lives of three teenagers - Lanie (Midori Francis, Good Boys, Ocean’s Eight), Evie (Xaria Dotson, American Vandal), and Thurston (Dempsey Bryk, Black Mirror, The Silence) - intersect around the presence of a blood-thirsty monster lurking in the woods, the Birch," reads the official logline.

"Sworn to protect the vulnerable wherever she is summoned, the Birch demands a dangerous toll for her services.

Our heroes grapple with the grim realities of making her acquaintance - both as friend and foe."

The beauty of the series is that it will unspool from different perspectives, meaning that viewers will need to pay close attention to make sure they are not being lied to by that particular character.

Three episodes will be available at launch, giving you ample opportunity to sample the series, and to make an assessment whether it will be worth watching on a more regular basis.

Facebook Watch has also dropped the first trailer, and it certainly shows the characters pushed to the limit as they try to make sense of what's going on.
