Conrad and Nic are having a quick conversation with Dr. TJ Chioffi, guest star Matt Shively, but what could it be about? Is it possible that they're consulting with some of the other doctors in the hospital in an effort to take down Lane?
Nic may have to answer for the actions of Lane, and that may cost her the job. They would much rather lose a nurse than their highly revered oncologist who brings in the bank.
There is a lot going down after Lily's death. Nic, Conrad, and Devon are on one side. Mina may be helping out however she can, and Lane is on the other. Where allies and adversaries are unknown, where does Bell stand in all of this?
I don't know what's going on, but Mina is completely done with whatever is being said or happening in this still. That's the face of someone completely over everything. Same, Mina. I dig it.
Devon has a new patient on his hands, guest star Jolene Purdy playing Olivia Tan. Keeping true to that bedside manner we love so much, he introduces himself before getting down to business.
Nic loves her job, and she loves helping others. She's seen treating Austin played by guest star Gerard Catus, but for how long? Will she be suspended, or worse yet, will she be fired?
Has Nic been called into the hospital version of the Principal's office? It appears to be the case. Unfortunately, Lily is dead, and the autopsy may be back. Lily's parents want answers or justice, and Nic may be taking the fall.
Nic and Conrad can overcome nearly any obstacle in their path as long as they do it together. Now that they're on the same page and may have made up for good, they can weather this huge storm coming their way. Or can they?
It's possible that Mina is being hauled into Claire's office for something entirely unrelated to the Lily situation. It's also possible that she is trying to get Claire to open her eyes to the many things going on in the hospital. Mina isn't a people person, but she's loyal.
What does this malevolent beauty have up her sleeves this time? Something tells me it has to do with Lily's parents who resurface out of the blue (massive side-eye) and are itching to know how their daughter died. Lane won't take the fall, but she'll make sure Nic does.
Sometimes the hospital halls may as well serve as runways because everyone is so pretty. Take this handsome doc right here. Wouldn't you feel you were in the best of hands when you have him to stare at? No worries, he's super smart and funny, too!
When she has a potential lawsuit on her hands, Lane making moves, and Bell willing to throw her under the bus to save his reputation, is it safe to say that Claire's days are numbered? Is she the best, most likable person out there? Not really, but she may be the lesser of evils!
Conrad: Everything you thought you knew about medicine is wrong. All the rules you followed will break. I have only one rule, it covers everything. I'm never wrong. You do whatever the hell I tell you, no questions asked. Devon: Do you want me to speak now? Conrad: That's a question.
Bell: I'm Chief of Surgery, and it's the end of a 30-hour shift. What did you see? Doctor: We're all on the same side here. Maybe he had a heart attack.
