TV quite simply wouldn’t be all that interesting without good looking characters with secrets.
Hot people make the world go round, and if TV is your world, then they have to be easy on the eyes. They’re made ever more interesting when they have secrets that force their portrayer to be very versatile.
Just look at Annalise from How To Get Away With Murder. She can be your friend, or enemy and still have you murdered with a few clicks on her phone. Don’t expect her to take the fall for it though.

Helen – The Affair

Andre tries too hard to please other people and it led to him having to cover up Vernon’s murder after his wife, Rhonda, saved his life. Andre also has a father who knows about the murder and will have no compunction with blackmailing him down the line.
Annalise – How To Get Away With Murder
Annalise isn’t lying when she says she can get people off with murder. She’s done it on several occasions and she’s even played a part in the murders. She also sent her lover, hot Nate down for one of them and he had nothing to do with it. She’s twisted, but she looks out for herself and even the Keating 5.
Beckett – Castle
Beckett is hands down one of the hottest characters on the TV landscape, but she seems to think she’s going to get killed and that’s why she ended her marriage to Castle. It must be tough thinking your days are numbered, but If you don’t have the love of your life, what do you have?
Alaric – The Vampire Diaries
Every single woman Alaric Saltzman has ever loved ends up dead. He practically can’t like anyone without them being butchered. He’s setting out to change that though, by attempting to resurrect his wife, Jo, from the dead.
Clarke – The 100
Clarke emerged as the clear leader when the sky people landed on earth and it forced her to make some tough decisions. The toughest of all has got to be killing her former love, Finn after he killed a bunch of people. She literally had to stick the knife in him. That won’t be leaving her anytime soon.
Emma – Scream
How do you top a sister you didn’t know you had butchering your loved ones? You can’t. Emma had the perfect life in Lakewood, until the residents started dropping like flies. She also played a part in killing her boyfriend, Will, which makes it all the more worse.
Jane – Blindspot
Jane wound up naked in a duffle bag in wintery conditions on Times Square, covered from head to toe in tattoos that she has no recollection of getting. She has a blank slate and has no clue who she is. The award for worst luck goes to her.
Liv – Izombie
Liv drank a crazy energy drink that turned her into a zombie. She’s not evil by any means, but her snack of choice is brains mixed up with her favourite noodles. She also has a boyfriend, who she had to ditch because of her thirst for brains.
Peter Quinn – Homeland
Peter has played a big part on the show and showed us that he would go to any lengths to get the truth from Brody. You can only imagine our surprise when we learnt that he was actually hired to kill Brody. Drama!
Norma – Bates Motel
Norma is a gorgeous woman, who tries to do the best for her kids, even if that means covering up a few murders here and there. Yes, Norma’s kid, Norman keeps taking blackouts and more often than not, it results in a dead body popping up.
Elijah – The Originals
Elijah loves Hayley, but Hayley has a baby with his brother and she’s currently married to someone else. It doesn’t get more thorny than this, does it? Fans are clamoring for the obstacles to be sent packing, but considering the Original family’s sire lines could be wiped out soon, they ain’t going anywhere.
Thea – Arrow
Thea was always curious about what her brother was really up to, so you can only imagine how happy she was to finally be in the loop about what was going on. It just sucks that Ra’as Al Ghul went and killed her. She was brought back thanks to the Lazarus Pit, but it doesn’t mean she’s going to be A OK. She isn’t.
Alison – Pretty Little Liars
Alison has more lives than a cat. She has a lot of secrets and that’s what paved the way for her sister, Charlotte, to terrorize her and her friends over six seasons. Now, it looks like she’s bringing her sister home to stay with her. How will that play out?
