MEREDITH: "Burke loves you."
CRISTINA: [to Dylan] "Mind your own business."
MEREDITH: "He loves you!"
CRISTINA: "Yeah. everybody has problems."
MEREDITH: "Well are you gonna say it back?"
CRISTINA: "Of course not! He didn’t say it to me, he said it to sleeping me! Reciprocity is not required. Besides, he might blow up."
MEREDITH: "Excellent point."
MEREDITH: "How am I related to that man?"
CRISTINA: "What do you mean?"
MEREDITH: "Look at him. He's a mess."
IZZIE: "Yeah?"
MEREDITH: "He's a disaster. He's a stumbling, mumbling, clumsy disaster, with whom I have absolutely nothing in common. Not one thing."
IZZIE: "I hate to break this to you."
MEREDITH: "What?"
CRISTINA: "You do your own share of stammering yourself.
IZZIE: "Yeah, that nervous talking you do? It's actually a lot like him."

MEREDITH: "No, it's not."
Meredith: Christina... are you in the dark place?
Christina: Yeah.
Meredith: Me too.
Alex: I said go away.
Meredith: You left the door unlocked. That's bold.
Meredith: (teary) I always thought it would be me. I'd get Alzheimer's like my mother and forget everyone. Lets go to city hall tomorrow. I don't wanna spend another day not being married to you.
Derek: Ok.
MEREDITH: "I want facts, and until I get them, my pants are staying on."
DEREK: "Or you could just roll with it, be flexible. See what happens."
MEREDITH: "I'm not flexible."
DEREK: [laughs] "Now there I disagree... We'll find these things out. That's the fun part, you know? That's the gravy."
Maddie's mom: Wait. Maddie needs to tell her daddy she's sorry before he goes. Maddie, you need to tell your daddy you're sorry. Maddie, people die in surgery. You don't want your daddy to die without telling him how sorry you are. Come on, lets go tell him we love him.
Meredith: You know, no. No!
Maddie's mom: What?
Meredith: Maddie, stay right here ok.
Richard: Dr. Grey.
Meredith: No. She will not go apologize to him. You should be apologizing to her. I understand you're a victim here, but there is no room for you to be a victim when your 6 year old is on the line. She's stronger than you. Your 6 year old is stronger than you. At least she did something. She stood up for the two of you, which is more than you did for her. No, she won't apologize to him.
IZZIE: "So what's the sex like?"
MEREDITH: "I wouldn't know."
IZZIE: "Four dates and two sleepovers and no sex?"
MEREDITH: "Not even a kiss goodnight."
IZZIE: "Aww, I'm so proud. I am like a proud mama."
MEREDITH: "Shut up."
Everyone figures doctors are the most responsible people they know. They hold lives in their hands. They're not flakes. They don't lose track of important details or make stunningly bad judgment calls. 'Cause that would be bad, right?

MEREDITH: "You know, you keep taking everything on faith. How do you know what’s real and what’s not?"
DEREK: "You just do. You know some people would call this a relationship. Time to exchange keys, leave your toothbrush over."

Cristina: I just saw Owen. Major Owen Hunt! You know, the guy who pulled the icicle from my chest?
Meredith: I thought he was in Iraq.
Cristina: He was, but now he's here! In the hospital!
Meredith: Okay! So?
Cristina: So... we kissed. He kissed me. It was stupid. It was nothing.
Meredith: But you don't think he thought it was nothing.
Cristina: Well he obviously likes me. And now he's back! What's he doing back?!
