Melissa approaches Barbara and tells her that someone is planning on turning Abbott into a Charter school. Barbara calls the information line with a Jamaican accent to get information and it is confirmed.

Jacob rushes into the break room with exciting news, His students are currently working with Mural Arts to design the mural.

He removed himself so he wouldn't influence their decision. Mr. Johnson mentions that he is on the Wall of Flame at a local chicken restaurant.

Gregory and Janine talk about the kiss. She tells him shes going to break up with him. Gregory says he will tell him about the kiss. They argue briefly about who will tell Maurice and then decide to do it together at Bonetown.

Ava and the Mural Arts artist meet with Jacob and he announces the design he chose. The kids are miserable about the choice and the Mural Arts artists says the kids have to design it and they will have to reapply next year since it's too late to redesign.

Jacob talks to Melissa about the balance of leading the children and letting them have their individuality.

A former student was put out of Addington and Ava welcomes him back with open arms. And then she decides to join Melissa and Barbara to fight against turning charter.

Janine and Gregory speak to Maurice about their kiss at Bonetown. They tell him it meant nothing and he is not affected, but when she breaks up with him, he gets angry and asks them to leave.

Jacob reveals the mural to the staff and students and it's a painting of the sock puppets but with each student choosing a segment to showcase their future goals. One student is the first black female astronaut president, one is a doctor and one is a teacher like Jacob.

The teachers all gather in the breakroom and take an online quiz to reveal their sock puppet character. They all reveal that they watch and love the show. Gregory refuses to take the quiz but protests his result when Janine puts his information in.
