The Ocean Avenue Business Association's Ocean Fest comes to town and the Belchers prepare for the big day.

There's also going to be a Creatures of the Sea sculpture contest between all the businesses on Ocean Avenue. The winner gets a three hundred dollar gift certificate to any business on the street.

Linda made a mermaid sculpture, but the kids find it off putting so they want to make a better one to win the gift certificate and use it at the toy store.

Hugo inspects the restaurant and they pass.

A fire starts in the restaurant, causing damage to the kitchen and grill.

Gene believes he started the fire by trying to fix the mermaid sculpture's hair with a crimping iron that he left plugged in.

Bob calls Teddy to fix the grill and he tells them that they need a new part to get it to work.

Louise believes she might have started the fire by shoving a bunch of sparklers into the mermaid's hair.

Tina also believes she might have started the fire by painting a bikini on the mermaid and plugging in a fan so it could dry.

The kids hand out flyers for the restaurant at Ocean Fest, but they want to help Bob so they try to find a new part for the grill that was destroyed.

Teddy gets a portable grill for the restaurant, but the propane tank isn't full.

The kids track down the part to a restaurant that hasn't open yet, A Shrimp-le Plan.

They decide to break the window and borrow the part, and Tina writes a note for the owner. They can't bring themselves to break in, though.

The kids return to the restaurant empty handed, but Pam from A Shrimp-le Plan shows up with the missing part because she read Tina's note.

Hugo and Ron come to the restaurant and tell the family that Hugo accidentally caused the fire when he pulled out all of Bob's old greasy rags, which can spontaneously combust.
