There are no lieutenant spots at 51, so Kidd would have to transfer houses.
Casey puts in a good word for Kidd at another house.
At a structure fire, Severide and Kidd are stuck inside in a burning building, and Severide proposes to Kidd, who accepts it.
Cruz saves the life of a venture capitalist who wants to take Slamigan to the next level.
The venture capitalist becomes aggressive when Cruz rejects his offer, going so far as to threaten Cruz.
Cruz tells the venture capitalist to back off, or there will be trouble.
Boden tasks Gallo, Ritter, and Violet with planning a medal ceremony for Mouch, and Platt wants the ceremony at Soldier Field.
Gallo, Ritter, and Violet go to Soldier Field but are unable to secure the field.
As they go to tell Platt, Boden saves them by saying the medal ceremony will be later that day.
Boden later thanks Mouch for his years of service and calls him a hero.
Hill presents Mouch with the firefighters' medal of valor, and he is touched.
Casey and Dawson have been talking, and Brett assumes that means they're getting back together.
Casey then says that he loves Brett even if nothing changes for her.
