The press is bothering Sharon when she comes to work. She keeps saying no comment.

Stevie is interviewed about Eleanor using the VAS COM machine. The officer wants to know who encouraged her to use the machine. Was it Will?

Sharon confides to Daniel that she is worried about the hospital with all this negative publicity. Cooper's father-in-law feels a need to tell her that whistleblowers get 7 figure rewards.

Blake talks to Marcel about a patient with kidney disease that he got from a kidney. The patient's son may be a match but when Marcel comes in he understand why Blake is reluctant -- the boy is on the severe end of the autistic spectrum. Blake talks to the dad but he doesn't know about getting Luke tested. Blake thinks Luke might be his last chance. The father agrees.

Marcel isn't sure Luke has the developmental ability to understand what he is consenting to. Blake insists this is the right thing to do.

Doris sees Maggie with Vanessa and wants details from Maggie about who Vanessa's dad is.

Archer seems to be needling Will but claims he's proud of him.

Stevie complains that Will didn't give her a heads up about the VAS COM. Maggie calls her and Will in to see a patient. The son says his dad doesn't speak English. He speaks Creole and wants his son to talk. The son says he didn't think his father's dizziness was important because Chicago is a much faster city than where he's from. But today he missed a step and fell down the steps.  They order tests. The father wants someone to get the info too.

Sharon checks in with Will and says they will get through this. However she finds out that Peter shut her out of a budget meeting.  Peter is freezing her out because she spoke up about Cooper.

Meanwhile, Blake says the ethics committee gave them the green light with Luke.

A guy comes to see Sharon. He thought she'd be expecting him. He's from a medical compliance company. The board has brought him on to increase transparency. Sharon says that has been her mission for 35 years. Mr. Shin-Tu says he meant no disrespect and he is not here to be an obstructionist. But Med is in trouble and if it gets worse the patients will suffer. They have a common goal. However Shin-Tu wants to know about Vanessa and Maggie.

Marcel comes to see Luke who is stimming and upset his Daddy is sleeping and not here. Luke gets upset by the procedure for taking blood. He starts screaming he doesn't want a shot and wants his daddy. Archer witnesses this and asks Marcel if he has a Plan B.

Vanessa sees a girl with a bruised head. The girl says she was thirsty and went to get a drink from the fountain but got dizzy and woke up on the floor with the school counselor. Vanessa talks to the teacher who says she is worried about Claudia. Also she found pills in Claudia's b backpack that belong to Claudia's mother. They are diuretics.

Stevie thinks the Creole-speaking patient might have early onset Alzheimers and wants a neural consult.

A new patient comes in, serious injuries from a car accident. Scott and Archer work on him. BP dropping, distended stomach, clean chest X-ray.

Marcel suggests that Luke's father go on a slow type of dialysis so that Luke won't have to be involved. The man agrees.

Maggie got a call from HR about her relationship with Vanessa. Sharon tells her this is Shin-Tu's doing. Maggie is upset because they were finally getting to a good place and now this.

Blake wants to talk to Marcel outside. She's angry that Marcel blew up the chance at a transplant. Marcel says that Luke couldn't handle the blood draw. Blake thinks they should just sedate Luke and do the procedure anyway. She hopes this decision doesn't kill Lawrence.

The man's son says his father is asking for a prescription for him and Fabian for their wedding night. Stevie and Will say talk about that later. The neurologist agrees that the man has early onset Alzheimers. The son says something in French and then asks how long until his father is not him anymore. There are medications the doctors want to try, but there is no cure and no guarantee of how much time he has left.

Scott and Archer's patient is bleeding again. He needs to be reintubated in the OR. The man asks if he is going to die. Archer tells him that his injuries are severe. The man wants to know about his family. They are 3 hours away. Archer tells Scott they need to get here faster.

Maggie has to sit through an interview in which she is accused of nepotism.

Vanessa asks Charles for help about Claudia. Also they can't get ahold of the mother. Vanessa doesn't want to call DFCS before talking to the mother. Once the mother is here she wants Charles to talk to her.

The patient tells Archer he finally is gonna get what he deserves. 10 years ago he was drunk and punched a guy who hit on him. Later he found out the guy hehit his head and died. He murdered a man and now it's time to pay. Archer is shocked.

An employee who speaks French tells Stevie and Will that Immanuel didn't tell his father the truth about his condition. Immanuel refuses to tell his father the truth. In Haiti all his father knew was poverty, hardship, and war. Now there is freedom, joy, and love. He doesn't want to take that for him. Will says the disease will progress. Immanuel says when the time comes his father won't even remember this day anyway. Will agrees and Stevie doesn't. Stevie complains that Will is in charge of what people should or shouldn't know.

Stevie is not happy that Fabian doesn't know either. She needs to know what her future is going to be.

Claudia's mom has finally come. She says she was on shift and couldn't answer her phone. She says she struggled with her weight her whole life and doesn't have time to cook healthy meals because she works two jobs. She got the pills off the Internet. She was trying to hold on til Spring when they can walk. Kids would be cruel if they saw Claudia was overweight. Charles suggests some educational programming instead. The mother wants to go see Claudia. Charles tells Vanessa made the right call

Stevie goes to talk to Fabian. She is upset about the diagnosis. Stevie says she wants to respect Fabian's space but Immanuel has chosen not to tell his father -- how does she feel? Fabian is conflicted. She doesn't want to begin their marriage with secrets but agrees with Immanuel that his father doesn't need to know. She doesn't want him destroyed either.. Stevie doesn't understand. Fabian says it won't be easy but she's prepared. In their culture nothing is more important than family. His father would be proud if he knew what his son was doing for him.

Archer gives the family bad news. Keith had a stroke during the surgery and is brain dead. Archer tells the family that Keith told him before the surgery that he wanted his organs donated if he died. The family agrees and goes to see Keith one last time.

Archer tells Marcel that if the kidney is a match its his patient's.

Crockett says he gets it if Blake wants to drop him. She realizes she likes him, maybe because he pisses her off. She thinks they work well together and he needs to talk to her next time. He admits he likes her too.

Maggie finds Vanessa on the roof, taking a moment. Maggie tells her about the HR interview. She's sorry. Anyway they're probably gonna reach out. Vanessa doesn't care. When she first started at Med she was intimidated and felt like an imposter. But now she knows she belongs here and wouldn't have figured that out without Maggie.

Sharon tells Daniel she's not sure she did the right thing. Charles is sure she did. He wants to take her out to dinner right now.

Stevie watches Immanuel and his father leaving. Will comes up to her. The VAS-COM business sucked but he would have done it again. He wished he had been able to fill her in. Stevie understands now. She wants to know if he slept with Jessa and is glad to hear that he didn't.

Archer congratulates Blake, who thanks him for his deus ex machine, which he doesn't know at first what it means.

Marcel runs into Avery who says she has a big case resulting from the VAS COM stuff. She congratulates him on his big win and asks him to have dinner. He says not tonight.

Charles and Sharon go to a fancy restaurant. Sharon sees some other board members. Matt comes up to her and says he's gonna win and she's gonna lose.
