Hailey talks to Jay about him extending his time when she's headed out the building.

She and Torres go sparring together at the gym in a montage, making it a regular thing for them. As time goes on, Jay isn't answering anymore and she's leaving messages wanting more information about if he's coming back at all.

She gets a call from Halstead's informant reaching out to her. She meets up with him. But Lee gets squirrely. He tells her he needs her help and two masked men show up and attack her and Lee. She gets knocked out while fighting them off.

She wakes up in a bthroom tied up.

Torres calls Hailey when he doesn't hear from her and she doesn't show up. He heads to the station and asks Trudy if Hailey is there and Voight is still there. He tells Trudy and Voight about the training and her not being anywhere.

Hailey tells Lee that he can't reveal she's a cop. She tries to help him get untied.

Hailey gets out the bathroom and attacks the guys there, but she gets tied back up again. She pretend to be Lee's cousin, and she learns that the men holding them thinks that Lee stole $50 grand from them.

Ruzek and Burgess come in, and Torres says that he tried Jay and doesn't think he and Hailey are doing well.

Hailey tries to get Lee to tell her what's going on so they can come up with a plan to get out of there.

They find her car and her bag with her gun still inside. Atwater sees blood and Torres finds her phone and keys.

Voight and Atwater go into the convenience tore to look at thier footage of the alley. He sees the ambush.

Hailey badgers Lee and guesses that he's protecting someone else who stole the money.

The bad guys come in trying to get information about the money and bring an ax. Lee still won't talk and Hailey pleads for him on his behalf. She tries to keep the henchman Eli from using the ax on Lee and starts kicking him. She puts up another fight, but they take her out and lock her in the closet. Someone uses the ax on Lee. they cut off his hand.

Lee realizes that his hand is cut off and freaks out. He's protecting his girlfriend.

They figure out that Hailey met Lee and that he's a CI.

Lee thought that if he got the money his girlfriend would come back to him and they'd be happy. He's scared that if he tells the bad guys that his girlfriend has the money, they'll kill her.

Voight brings in the girlfriend and shows her the footage of bad guys kidnapping Lee. She won't talk about why he was taken and claims she doesn't want to be involved.

The girlfriend won't speak during interrogation.

Lee tries to stop them from cutting Hailey's hand off and the henchman shoots him. He dies after telling Hailey that his girlfriend spent all the money. 

They finally get a lead and Voight threatens Lee's GF becaues she had been lying about her connection to Vicente, the abductor.

They figure out where the house is that they were holding Hailey and Lee and find Lee's body and a note from Hailey saying that she's taking them home.

Hailey is in the trunk. She manages to free herself from the trunk and uses her drawstring to choke out Vicente, causing an accident. She crawls out and when Vicente attacks her, she stabs him in the neck with something. Voight and the others get to her.

Voight talks to Hailey at the station. They share a drink and he asks about Jay. She says that he won't even notice anything happened to her.
Voight tells her that it's okay to stop fighting for something if she's the only one fighting and that she can still love Jay despite that.

She goes home and sees all of his stuff still around their apartment. She takes off her wedding band while crying.
