We have a flashback of March 2013 when Henry Messner was sentenced to a secure facilty.

In the present, Henry says he is rehabilitated, and a psychiatrist says he is working hard in therapy and can control himself now. Henry's parents want him to live with them and his new baby brother. His mother has passed away. Henry says he learned that other people have feelings and his behavior has consequences.  The judge will decide before the holidays.

An unconscious woman has been found, bound and gagged and naked. Her roommate is freaked out.  So is Kat when she sees the blood etc

Rollins is on the phone not paying attention and Jesse disappears. Jesse comes back with a stuffed animal and says a nice man gave it to her. She says the stuffed animal's name is Snowball.

When Rollins and Benson interview Libby, they find out that the perp stole a stuffed animal -- the one that Jessie had.

Rollins tells Benson about what happened with Jessie. Benson is sure Henry is still locked up. There is a hit on the debit card which turns out to be a random homeless guy who says I don't want "him" coming after him. Some guy made him go to the hardware store and buy zipties and a blow torch.

Rollins can't get any info on Henry. Libby's mother shows up. She is the psychiatrist that originally treated Henry but hasn't seen him in five years.

The cops go to Henry's house. It's been ransacked and there is a bloody body and blood everyplace. Stepmother is dead. So is the father. A little boy, maybe five years old has also been killed. Ruby is missing.

The family was murdered Friday morning. He is moving fast. Ruby has been found alive. She is at a friend's house.

The friend's mother is nervous. Will Henry come after them? She says Holly was scared of Henry but thought he just needed love.

Ruby is upset about Arlo. She says her dad and Henry had a fight. Ruby's friend says that Henry refused to get a job and was playing video games and talking to someone. Why did they let him out?

The psychiatrist says that this is her worst nightmare and that she believed he had turned his life around. No one has ever fooled her and her entire staff like that in her 30 years of practice. She says Henry had one friend.

The cops talk to a teenage boy named Connor who says Henry was his friend but insists he doesn't know where he is. He suggests that Henry hooked up his sister Cora.

The cops go to Cora's apartment. They find Cora coming in and make her lie down on the ground. She says Henry left this morning. She insists Henry is gentle and not who they think he is. The cops take her in and says he goes to the water and to the park. She knows he went to Morningside Park yesterday because his photos are geotagged.

Rollins finds photos of Jessie among the photos and photos of Ruby -- at the house she's staying at.

They rush over to the house. The police guard has been attacked and the other cops all left because someone called in a bomb squad. MEghan still has a pulse  but has been attacked.Kat finds Charlotte tied up in the bathroom. She says Henry kidnapped Ruby. He took her on a ride. Rollins realizes that he took Ruby to an amusement park.

The car is found at a closed amusement park. It is clear. The cops break into the park.  There may be something at the funhouse. Fin tells Rollins to wait for backup, which of course she ignores after agreeing to it.

Rollins goes through the darkened funhouse looking for Henry and Ruby. She hears Henry talking to Ruby who is begging him to let her go. He has a gun. He says she's pretty and so are her daughters. He won't put the gun down. Henry goes on about how cute Jessie is. Rollins says she doesn't want the SWAT team to get him. Henry says so you're not mad at me? He says Ruby is the reason he was locked up. Rollins says it wasn't Ruby, it was her. Henry turns his gun on her.

The cops arrive at the scene. Benson tries to contact Rollins and gets no answer. Rollins calls that Ruby is coming out with Henry's gun. Rollins doesn't answer.  Eventually she says that she and Henry are talking.

Henry asks if Rollins is in trouble. He says he came here because his childhood was taken away from him. He had no beaches or amusement parks. He tells a random story about how when he was six he was given a playmate and the other boy drowned. That was the first time he knew he was different because he wasn't upset or worried, he was just bummed he didn't see the drowning.

Benson needs an update now. The Nassau cops say they're going in in five minutes.

Rollins asks Henry if he wants to get shot. He says he's unarmed so he won't get shot. Rollins says she can protect him if he leaves with her. Rollins says she remembers him as a little boy eating strawberries. She was worried about him. She doesn't want him to die.

Benson announces they are coming out. Henry comes out in cuffs. Rollins says wherever Henry ends up they need to throw away the key.

Henry talks to the psychiatrist who used to treat Benson. (Man I miss Dr. Wong). Henry tells him the state said he was no longer a danger to himself or others. Anyway the psychiatrist isn't sure that Henry is competent. The psychiatrist isn't sure. Rollins argues that this isn't fair. Doctor points out that there is no mental health help in prisons. Carisi says that all we care about is whether Henry's competent. He is but that's the wrong question. Rollins and Carisi go out for air. The doctor asks her how she's doing, how are things with her and Stabler? He is glad she has asked for an appointment.

Dr. Lindstrom rambles about mental health and psychiatry . He admits that the defendant is competent. The judge determines Henry is competent. The defense lawyer says she will be claiming insanity. Henry suddenly tries to stab Carisi with a pencil and screams he wants his daddy (why wasn't he cuffed?)

Rollins is upset that Henry will likely go to a mental hospital again. Carisi says after what Henry's done if he's not crazy no one is.

Rollins goes to a jail cell and stares at a comatose Henry. She asks how he is. She says she knows he can hear her. She lied when she told him she didn't want him to die. If he ever gets out of here or goes after her family again it will be her last day on Earth. She'll kill him herself.
