Recap

Lucifer takes Chloe to the same spot where he burned his wings, offering her the opportunity to burn a gift box, hoping it would bring her the same catharsis. Chloe tells him she needs time and space.

Lucifer barges into Linda's wanting help to move things along with Chloe so he can relieve Amenadiel from Hell, but he finds Amenadiel has just returned. Their father told him Hell no longer requires a warden.

To give Chloe space, Lucifer works with Dan to help her case behind the scenes. The "Bracelet Bros" find key information to solve the case.

Chloe investigates the murder of Sister Victoria Reynard, a novitiate at a convent, and enlists Amenadiel to help.

A pop star, Destiny Page, was trying to buy the convent. Victoria was her assistant, who she sent into the convent under cover, but she ended up liking the life as a nun. Her fiancé, Hank, murdered her after she broke up with him to devote herself to the convent.

Linda reveals to Maze she had a baby at 17 and left her in the hospital, which is why she thinks she's going to hell. Maze tracked her down and the two go to see her under a guise. Linda wants it to be her daughter's decision to know her, so Maze gives her a database release form for biological parents.

Amenadiel tells Chloe people are drawn to Lucifer because he reflects their desires back at them, except with her. They realize she is the only mortal who sees him for who he truly is, and everything they've shared is real.

They also realize she doesn't actually make Lucifer vulnerable, but he chooses to be vulnerable around her.

After this realization, Chloe goes to Lucifer.

Lucifer Season 5 Episode 5 Quotes

Lucifer: My apologies, Doctor. I don’t mean to barge into your home like this, but you weren’t at work.
Linda: It’s 7:00 am.
Lucifer: And?

Lucifer: Thank you for finally agreeing to meet with me, Detective.
Chloe: Well, after 57 phone calls, twice as many texts, the billboard off Sunset, oh and the ill-conceived stripper-gram.
Lucifer: In my defense, Roberto came highly recommended.
