It was Haley's 21st birthday on Modern Family Season 6 Episode 10. 

The older family went out to celebrate at a local bar. Haley felt like she had to indulge Claire because she was so excited. Claire said that for Haley's 21st she would vow to do a better job of treating Haley like an adult. For starters, this meant Haley would include her mother in her and Gloria's conversations about men and sex.

Cam and Mitchell thought they got the perfect gift for Haley but we're disappointed when she did the "high-pitched voice" meaning that she really hated it. They were also secretly excited that they thought a bachelorette party at the bar was desperate to hang out with them. When they finally approached the group to dance, the girls totally blew them off and they felt like two old farts.

Claire and Haley bond over drinks and Haley tells her she wants to get a tattoo. Gloria encourages it and Claire has to pretend she does too. Then Haley suggests mother/daughter tattoos and Claire is actually too touched to turn down the idea. Of course, Haley backs out after Claire ends up doing it.

Meanwhile Phil and Jay are out getting Haley's birthday gift, a car. Jay insists he can argue down the best day but Phil ends up being right.

Lily asks Manny, Luke, and Alex is they know where babies come from.
