- Iggy, Lauren, and Floyd meet on the rooftop to talk about Fuentes coming after them and firing them.
- Max confronts veronica about laying them off with other doctors.
- Iggy still doesn't feel comfortable seeing patients and Gladys walks him through it.
- Max notices that something is going wrong with the internet at the hospital.
- Clyde tells Floyd about Veronica's attempts to dived and conquer and says he won't play Veronica's game.
- Helen agrees to be Agnes' mentor while she's still there.
- The procedure to push chemo directly into the patients brain falls through when the hack happening pushes five times the allotted dose into her brain and is about to kill her.
- Everyone notices all the computer issues from a hack.
- They get notification that they need 10 million or they will shut down the hospital.
- Lauren sends Casey to find Chester to check on him after the hack likely affected his bionic heart situation.
- They state that the issue may last weeks and it sends all departments into a tailspin.
- Max asks Veronica to help however she can with the ransomware attacks when patients lives are in jeopardy and she will only agree if Max signs the statement that will fire his friends.
- Gladys and Iggy have to figure out their patients' regimen now that the computers have erased all of their records.
- Lauren realizes that she'll have to take Chester's pacemaker out of his chest to stop the shocks to him.
- Iggy's patient Angelo falls out unconscious and his heart stops. They gave him the wrong meds.
- Max tells Helen about Veronica's new budget, and she tells him that he needs to make the call and tell their friends himself.
- Gladys figures out that Angelo specifically asked for two pills knowing he was allergic.
- Helen realizes that she has to reverse the chemo in their patient in order to save her.
- Lauren takes ut the pacemaker in Chester but his heart is giving out on him.
- Veronica tells Max that she talked to the people and that they'd consider paying the ransom but are thankful for the budget changes he signed.
- Floyd saves his and Clyde's patient.
- Casey asks Lauren about what she did to get Leyla there and Lauren tries lying at first and then admits it. he tells her that he lost respect for her and the others will too when they eventually find out.
- Max meets with the others on the roof. He tells them about what he had to sacrifice for Veronica's help. She wanted them, but he arranged for 148 people to be laid off instead of them. It includes Casey, Agnes, Gladys, and Clyde. Everyone is stunned.
