Tariq has a dream of all the people he’s wronged in his life, including Kanan, Proctor, LaKeisha, Raina, Jabari, Ray-Ray, and Carrie.

Davis tells Tariq that Jenny is calling Tate to the stand. Before he goes on the stand, Tariq gives Tate the picture of Sweeney in blackface. On the stand, Tate helps Tariq by telling the court about a witness calling Kamaal, but the prosecution hasn’t brought forth to the defense.

Mecca tells Cane that he’s his new number two and will have to stay in his penthouse all day.

Lorenzo finds out there is no product, and Dru comes clean about stealing the drugs. He tells them to get it back.

Mecca meets with Zeke and tells him he will get him a private coach so he can drop out of school. He asks Zeke to meet with Monet, and she tells him about her childhood and giving him up before he asks her if she had anything to do with Carrie’s death. She says no.

Dru goes to Everett’s dorm and swipes his keycard, while Diana goes to see Tariq and gets the QR code from Tariq’s phone. The two then head to the roof, where they steal the drugs back.

Jenny approaches the Weston’s about Brayden and Cane’s relationship. Though Brayden claims he only met Cane once, Trace blows up his story about the night they were kidnapped, and Jenny shows footage of the two brothers from Ramirez’s dashcam.

She agrees to give both brothers total immunity if one of them will testify against Tariq.

Zeke holds a press conference to announce he’s dropping out of school, and the news breaks about his actual age. While talking with Monet and Mecca at the basketball courts, someone shoots at them, and Mecca wonders if it was Lorenzo.

Tariq tells Effie about Lauren getting Cane and Brayden on the wire and wanting her to run away. Effie then goes to Cane and tells him about it, who then goes to Brayden and tells him to kill Lauren or be killed.

Jenny approaches Brayden about ratting out Cane.

Mecca finds out his bag is missing, and he tracks it to Stansfield. Tariq goes through the bag and discovers that Mecca is an FBI informant. And when they meet, he offers Mecca his silence in exchange for two million dollars.

Brayden drives Lauren out of town and pulls a gun on her before letting her go. But she doesn’t get far, as Effie comes and knocks her out before driving off with her.

Mecca returns to his penthouse to Monet and Cane together. She explains that she wants Lorenzo killed, and then she and her family will leave with Mecca on his private jet.
