Jessica gets Malcolm released and he's on house arrest.
He breaks the house arrest and wants to go investigate on his own.
He gets information from Edrisa, who is firmly on his side and overhears the team being informed about the autopsy.
He goes to see Sterling who has information about Endicott purchasing DNA labs so that he can use them to his advantage.
He knows Sterling wasn't always a bad guy but genuinely loved helping people. Sterling gives him information, but someone shoots him while he's talking to Malcolm.
The team come to the house after Sterling was shot to ask him about his whereabouts. Malcolm lies at first but then knows they have to take him out and that's his best shot at working on the case.
They take him in and he helps him work on the case.
Martin is moved to general population at Rikers. Endicott frames him for trying to escape.
While there he finds out he has a bounty on his head.
The whilty sibs figure out where he is and ask for information about Endicott. He warns them. He also tries to say goodbye in case he's killed, and Ainsley stops him and tells him to figure something out. She encourages him.
He figures out a way to have an inmate protected him. It starts a riot, but he doesn't partake in it.
Jessica goes to Endicott in hopes that he'll help Marlcolm. While there, Gil stops by to get Jessica. Nicholas has him stabbed in the gut and Jessica sees and overhears.
She knocks Endicott out and takes Gil's car and saves him.
Malcolm follows a lead from Eve's voicemail to a veternarian. It's the girl in the box. He knows she killed Eddie, but he won't tell anyone. They talk and she says nothing was his fault.
Malcolm is there at the hospital for Gil. He and Dani have a talk.
He gets a call to meet him at the house. Endicott has Ainsley hostage.
He tries to kill Nicholas but can't bring himself to do it. Ainsley slits Nick's throat and stabs him.
Martin calls at that moment and Malcolm tells him that Ainsley folowed his advice. Martin is pleased. They have to figure out what to do next.
